Description

Learn more about the product

The standard gas cylinder valves we offer are made of copper. Their maximum working pressure is 200 bar . The standard gas cylinder valves have the following parameters:

Gas cylinder valve BEMENETI Join (connection to gas cylinder)

The most common gas cylinder connection threads are:

  • 25E
  • 17E
  • M18x1,5
  • M30x2
  • For other inbound connections please contact us

Gas cylinder valve CLEAR connection according to EU standard

Gas cylinder outlet connections are defined in standards. The outlet connection varies depending on the gas. The most common connections for gases are:

    1. Argon (Ar), Carbon dioxide (CO2), Helium (He) - Din477 part 1 - 6
    2. Oxygen (O2) - Din477 part 1 - 9
    3. Nitrogen (N2) - Din477 part 1 - 10
    4. Hydrogen (H2) - Din477 part 1 - 1
    5. For other gases not mentioned or other standards (BS, DOT...) please contact us

Connections may vary from country to country according to national standards

  • RPV (residual pressure valve) - see description later
  • Burst disc - see detailed description later

The attached photographs are for illustrative purposes only, showing the characteristics of these valves. There may be differences in colour and finish, but we can guarantee the quality. .

RPV(residual pressure valve)

RPV technology will block the withdrawal of gas from the cylinders in case the pressure in the cylinder drops below 2-3 bar. In this way the RPV technology protects the inside of the cylinder from any contamination or moisture. The most typical use of RPV is mainly in the healthcare and food industry, but it is also increasingly used in industrial applications, as it protects the purity of the cylinder's contents.

The RPV technology requires special attention as it requires a special key/adapter for both maintenance and filling to reach full throttle or to start filling.

Burst disc - Splitting disc

It is a safety accessory that releases pressure in the event of overpressure. For liquefied gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2), cylinders are filled by weight. The pressure inside the cylinder remains almost constant even when the gas is running low (CO2 60-70 bar). In the event that the cylinder is significantly overfilled or becomes very hot, the pressure inside the cylinder may rise to dangerous levels. In this case, the pressure relief valve will rupture and the dangerous excess pressure will escape through this part of the valve. The pressure relief valve is normally adjusted to the test pressure of the cylinder. For carbon dioxide, the most common orifice pressure value is 250 bar.
