Pressure test pump (pump)

The pressure test pump is essential for hydrostatic testing of gas cylinders and fire extinguishers: it fills the cylinder or system under test and builds up the pressure to the test pressure. A steady pressure reading indicates a properly sealed system, whilst a drop in pressure may indicate a leak. PWENT offers a complete range of electric, pneumatic and manual pumps — for test protocols compliant with PED 2014/68/EU and TPED 2010/35/EU standards.

Types of pressure test pumps
Electric high-pressure pump: N7/15 — 3-piston electric-driven hydraulic pump for water pressure testing up to 500 bar, with a flow rate of up to 7 L/min. Mounted on a stainless steel frame, can be secured to the floor. Pneumatic pump: N7/4 — suitable for explosive or wet environments, max. 450 bar, operable without electricity (operational reliability). Mobile fire pump: N7/1FH-E electric, for 1 cylinder, 50 bar. N7/1FH-E-AA with blow-off motor, for rapid hose drying.

Data collection and measurement
TPUSB.432.R0 pressure transducer with USB connection and data acquisition software, for pressures ranging from 100 mbar to 2000 bar. Digital pressure data logger (register) for the 100 mbar to 3000 bar range — mandatory for official hydrostatic test documentation. Digital data logging is a modern requirement for official reports.

Areas of application
Gas cylinder refurbishment workshops: periodic inspection of industrial and fire safety cylinders. Fire extinguisher maintenance technicians: testing of powder, CO₂ and water-based extinguishers. Piping systems: leak testing of hydraulic, heating and industrial systems. On-site service: portable models are recommended for mobile workshops.
