Special gas fillers

Specialised gas filling systems are used for filling less common but industrially important gases: nitrous oxide (N₂O — used in the medical and food industries as a propellant), refrigerants (R32, R134a, R410a, R407c — air conditioning and refrigeration systems), and other specialised industrial gases (acetylene, propane-butane, specialised gas mixtures). With over 25 years’ industry experience, PWENT offers custom-designed filling systems — all compliant with EU standards (PED, TPED, F-Gas Regulation 517/2014).

Refrigerant charging and recovery
Charging refrigerants (HFCs, HFOs, natural refrigerants) presents a particular challenge: most HFC refrigerants are greenhouse gases (with a high GWP value), so their release into the atmosphere is strictly regulated (Regulation (EU) No 517/2014 on F-gases). PWENT’s charging and recovery systems operate in a closed-loop system: the old refrigerant is recovered, filtered, and either reused or disposed of in accordance with official regulations. Typical refrigerants: R32 (small-scale domestic air conditioning), R134a (car air conditioning, commercial refrigeration), R410a (commercial and industrial refrigeration), R407c (air conditioning applications).

N2O (nitrous oxide) charge
N2O is used in medical (anaesthetic gas), food industry (whipping cream propellant) and industrial (semiconductor manufacturing) applications. It is stored in cylinders and filled in a closed system — to medical-grade standards with specific purity requirements.

Other speciality gases
Acetylene (C2H2): special solution in acetone — for autogenous welding. Propane-butane (LPG): for cookers, heating and motor vehicles. Special gas mixtures: for laser cutting, industrial furnaces and research institutes.
