Gas cylinder scrapping machine that punctures gas cylinders. Suitable for scrapping gas cylinders with a diameter of 120–300 mm, including those with thick walls and even HIGH PRESSURE. It can also puncture gas cylinders made from 34CrMo4 hardened steel.
Durable structural design and standard solutions for safe operation.
Tailored to individual technical requirements, gas types and operating conditions.
Punching and scrapping of gas cylinders with diameters between 120 and 300 mm. The gas cylinder scrapping machine ensures safe, low-effort, fast and cost-effective work for employees. Gas cylinders must be decommissioned at the end of their service life. If, during a periodic inspection, it is determined that a gas cylinder is no longer safe for future use, the gas cylinder decommissioning machine comes into play. The purpose of scrapping is to prevent the gas cylinder from being used further. Gas cylinders can be scrapped either by cutting or by punching. Our current scrapping machine, the PWENT-SCRAP-01, carries out cylinder scrapping by punching.
During the puncturing process, the machine renders the gas cylinder unusable by driving a 40 mm diameter spike into it. The entire process takes between 10 and 30 seconds, depending on the diameter of the gas cylinder. We operate with a piercing force of 30 tonnes. The machine is also capable of piercing high-pressure steel gas cylinders. We can even pierce walls made of 34CrMo4 steel.
The standard method of disposing of gas cylinders today involves cutting them with a high-speed cutter. This places an unnecessary burden on staff. It takes up a lot of time, and when you factor in the cost of the cutting disc and labour, the resources used can be significantly higher. Just 1.5 minutes at the touch of a button! A convenient, quick solution.
The machine is safe to use. The operator cannot access any hazardous parts whilst the machine is in operation. During the design, manufacture and testing of the machine, we have complied with the applicable legislation, standards and regulations governing safe working practices. We have attached the relevant declarations as an appendix.
The sorting machine is suitable for sorting gas cylinders with diameters of 120–300 mm. The clamping element can be quickly adjusted to three different positions, each of which is capable of handling the following cylinder diameters:
