FFFP (Film-Forming Fluoroprotein): a combined protein-fluorine foam concentrate with longer stability. AFFF-AR and FFFP-AR: alcohol-resistant variants, where the fire involves a polar solvent (alcohol). Maintenance procedures are similar for all types, but foam concentrates of different types must not be mixed together.\n\nMaintenance procedure\nDuring the annual inspection of the foam extinguisher, the quality of the foam concentrate must be checked (density, pH, purity). During a thorough 5-yearly maintenance, the old foam concentrate must be replaced, regardless of its condition. PWENT\u2019s filling machines enable the safe drainage of the old foam concentrate (for recycling purposes), the hydrostatic testing and cleaning of the cylinder, as well as the precise dosing of the new foam concentrate and the refilling with water.\n\nFilling machines\nPWENT\u2019s foam-filling machines are sized to suit both small-scale workshop operations (10\u201330 units per day) and larger industrial operations (60\u2013100 units per day).
